For my Motion Design class, I tackled the challenging Morph assignment, which tasked us with creating a commercial that featured 3D objects morphing seamlessly into one another.
Drawing on my creativity and technical skills, I decided to create a commercial for a fictitious brand called Furnish, showcasing a variety of furniture pieces that I carefully selected and arranged. To bring my vision to life, I utilized a combination of pre-made 3D models and custom creations of my own design.
The end result is a visually stunning and engaging commercial that demonstrates my motion design skills and techniques, as well as my ability to bring concepts to life in a meaningful way.
As soon as I received the assignment brief, I knew I wanted to create something truly unique and captivating. After some brainstorming, I settled on the idea of crafting three different 3D isometric rooms, each showcasing a variety of furniture pieces that would morph seamlessly into one another, creating a seemingly endless array of possibilities.
With this concept in mind, I set to work, meticulously building each room and carefully selecting and arranging the furniture pieces to ensure a smooth and visually striking transition between each scene. Through a combination of keyframe animation and rendering, I was able to bring my vision to life in a way that felt both dynamic and engaging.
The end result is a compelling and dynamic showcase of my skills as a motion designer, and a testament to my ability to bring bold and innovative ideas to life.
To create the stunning 3D visuals for this assignment, I turned to the powerful tools of Cinema 4D. Using this software, I was able to painstakingly model and animate each piece of furniture and create the seamless morphing effects that are the hallmark of this project.
Once I had completed the 3D work, I brought the project into Adobe After Effects to add the finishing touches. Here, I added carefully crafted text animations, a bespoke soundtrack that perfectly complemented the visuals, and some expert color correction to ensure that everything looked its very best.
